Preliminary Provisions

The operation of FKR installation inside tyres and other pneumatic precincts  is performed by trained personnel in special designed places for tyres exploitation .

Tyre Inspection

Before installing FKR is recommended to perform an inspection of the tyre in order to identify if:

  • There are eventual traces of premature aging, stress, excessive mechanical aggressions (cuts inside the tread profile);
  • The depth of tread profile is under the legal admitted limit ( there is no profile above tyre usage indicators );
  • There is damage to tyre sidewalls, sometimes accompanied by rarefaction of tyre steel cord wires (the presence of radiant swellings on the sidewalls);
  • The rim is deformed, as a result of actions undertaken for fixing it;
  • Inside the tyre there is rubber powder (resulted from degrading process of hermetic layer), talc, water or oil. All of these elements are eliminated and the interior of the tyre is dried;
  • The rim presents traces of accentuated ( extreme) corrosion (oxidized metal surface).

If following the inspection, tyres are considered to be apt/adequate (there is no situation of the above mentioned), we shall proceed to the installation of FKR.

It is not recommended the installation of FKR in old tyres ( used over the normal lifetime specified by the tyre Manufacturer) . FKR operates in elastic precincts.
